About - Serena Mai

On the iron range in Northern Minnesota, Serena began her art journey in high school where she helped establish the first Honors Society Art Club at her school. From there, she pursued her passion with art at Hibbing Community College where she earned her Associates in Fine Art.

To continue her art training, Serena was accepted into the Pre-professional Studio Art program at Concordia College. After two years, she received her Bachelor’s in Art with a concentration in Studio Art, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Serena is interested in all art-making processes, but her main bodies of work consist of printmaking, photography, and mixed media. Her work has been displayed at the Plains Art Museum, participated in juried exhibitions, and is published in AfterWork.
